Kandy – Stairway leading to Buddha statue and views over Kandy town. Typical urban walk. We saw this statue overlooking the town, perched on a hill top. Instantly knowing, we gotta go walk there. Walking there, not signposted, not on the map, getting lost, asking for directions, melting in the heat, no water near us. But once there, we were amazed by the views towards the town and Kandy Lake, the temple itself is so so.
